Ulysses S. Grant | The Best of Presidents

The Book is an overview of an ordinary man who became an American hero and possibly the best President the United States has ever had. The book follows President Ulysses S. Grant's life, consisting of short stories from his childhood, military school, family life, the Mexican-American War, the Civil War, and the Presidency until the end of his life. A brief overview of the Grant children as adults is the closing of the book. The book includes some of the African Americans and their contribution to the North winning the Civil War.  The author intended the book to reach 6th-9th grade, but to the author's surprise, she has also found a more mature audience, young adults to seniors.
